The buck they called Nightmare

Mon, November 29, 2010

nightmare 1

Here’s a buck the locals around Boscobel, Wisc. supposedly called “Nightmare.”

Boscobel is on the Wisconsin River and is known as “Wisconsin’s Wild Turkey Hunting Capital.” Maybe they will have to change the nickname after this big bruiser that locals had hunted for three years with no luck. That’s why they called him nightmare.

The hunter is apparently named Jerad and he shot the buck Nov. 10. The buck reportedly grossed 201 3/8 inches and was aged at 7.5.

Great buck.  I’m so glad the pics weren’t taken on a tailgate for a change.
