A buck I reluctantly shot

I shot this buck this morning, but only because he was acting strange ... like he was going to shed his antlers. And I didn’t think he’d get past the antlerless gun hunters this weekend.
I know he’s young and needed at least three more years to show his true potential, but I just couldn’t eat my E/S tag! They cost too much!
Well I probably should have held out! That’s my wife walking away in the background, she’s pissed off cause I may mount him and she doesn’t want any more deer heads in the house!

That little thing? Well, if you have your heart set on it and you’re going to waste your time and money this would be a good one to get one of those DIY kits and start learning how it’s done.

Congrats, but for some odd feeling, you wouldn’t be fibbing would you? I really think you would be included in the photo. And just from what I see I take it the arrow didn’t go all the way through him? Or he was hit pretty far back. But if you did get him WOW.

thanks for understanding you guys! I know I choked- I’ve seen his daddy out there! there’s always one bigger right! I’ve decided I am gonna try and mount him myself! Never done that before! You can’t see the arrow hole cause I hit him up the butt! I WAS aiming there of course! I Took a dam good-in-the-wagon-bed-Pic huh boys! WF, I was sobber so can’t use that as an excuse, but just went to the gas station and I’m loaded for bear with beer now! Gonna go hunt one last time in this awesome weather now, and try to shoot this boys daddy, and then consume mass quantities of Busch Light tonight. Ain’t gonna eat no supper either - that ruins it!

Notice he hid the left ear so we couldn’t see the hole in the ear from the ID tag ~ probably raised him in his back yard with all those so called wild turkeys that eat there feed out of the cats bowl.

I’m not sure I’d want that thing sneaking up on me in the 2013 Marc Anthony edition deer suit… he’s very diminutive and young. What if he had a weak hooves? them young deer haven’t “found” themselves yet!

This was all funny until y’all started making fun of Busch Light beer drinkers . . . that’s my favorite flavor, but mostly cuz you can get a 30-pack for the price of a 24-pack of Bud Light!!! Have to save $$$ so I could afford my $1300 bow, pay my over-priced hunting lease, etc . . .
