What is it with the bucks this year? This is the second time I’ve photographed one buck trying to mount another.
I spent some time in the woods yesterday for the first time looking for sheds. I walked my usual areas where I have found some in the past but I didn’t have any luck. I pushed plenty of deer, lots of does and even a few bucks. It wasn’t the best light for taking photographs but I did snap a few. On a side note all the bucks I did see yesterday still had both sides of their racks. I’ll be out again next week. Has anyone else found any sheds yet?

I guess with the lws being over and the does are gone the bucks are taking care of each other:)Been out once, but i think another 2 weeks and we will start finding afew…..

We’re going to have some strange looking deer come next fall : )Maybe them younger dudes kept gettin chased off by the brutes, so now their desperate! blah!!! I just got back from a 3.5 walk thru the timber, nothing but back pain from the wintry covered hills. I did enjoy myself though, I did see about a dozen bucks (some grouped) with antlers attached. A couple that looked large enough that might have dropped but didn’t have binoculars to see for sure. So maybe wait couple weeks so i don’t keep them pressured to move. I also checked my game cam and have a couple nice bucks on it, so I’m starting to get excited. Good luck everyone!
