A Christmas Surprise

Christmas morning is so much fun. The kids joy at getting some presents they really want never fails to please. I’d have to admit if pressed that it was more fun when they were little. They’d not only play with the toys but even the boxes became magical. Now its cell phones, laptops, ithis and ithat. Still, that morning is so special. This year, I had the tables turned on me. After all the presents had been opened Cam said he had one more just for me. Over the years i’ve gotten my share of coffee mugs and the like, so i was prepared for the kid tries to give parent a gift thing.

Cam has me get my coat on. Now I’m curious. As he walks me out to the shed he mentions that Mike, our neighbor, and him have been working on this for the last few weeks. I have no idea. I open the shed and am blown away by this.

Cam proudly explains how Mike supervised and he built a motor stand for our kicker motor when not on the boat!

Wow!

Best present ever!

If I could have burst from joy I’d have exploded into a million pieces. While Christmas is always special, this one shot quickly to the top of my list.

I hope all the HO readers had a Christmas filled with joy.
