Top 5 Update

Mon, October 24, 2016

By this time of the year I figure that we may have seen the last of our submissions for the Top 5.  Thus, it was quite a treat to find a few more bass in the Inbox and from a familiar and memorable spot to boot.  I’ve lost touch with Emiquon over the past several years so definitely cool to get a report and pics from the rather interesting fishing hole.

Paul Bass

Weight: 3-9
Angler: Paul Kessler
Date: October 13
Location: Emiquon Preserve
Lure: 4.5” Bass Pro Shops Creature Bait (purple)
Angler Comments: Caught all of my bass back in the weeds fishing in pockets and the rare defined weed edge.

Paul Bass

Weight: 3-6
Angler: Paul Kessler
Date: October 13
Location: Emiquon Preserve
Lure: 4.5” Bass Pro Shops Creature Bait (purple)

Paul Bass

Weight: 2-8
Angler: Paul Kessler
Date: October 13
Location: Emiquon Preserve
Lure: 4.5” Bass Pro Shops Creature Bait (purple)
Angler Comments: This one won’t cull but still a decent one.
Top 5 Weight: 17-6 (4-12,3-9,3-6,2-15,2-12) culls a pair of 2-9

Great job, Paul, glad to see a fishing pole still effectively in use as the days grow shorter and the nights get colder.  Best of luck to anyone out there still casting, drop me a line if you add some more to the log.  Talk to you later.  Troy
