I was given premission to post some incredible trail pics of a world class whitetail that I was able to capture this year!  As far as I know he is still alive and well!  Any thoughts on gross score…my guess is knocking on 200 if not right at 200!?

Looks like 200 to me.  Are these properties your getting pictures on for sale?

what a spectacular ADULT buck! A 6X5 typical with huge brows! Those forked G2’s are awesome to see! They are not so awesome on the net score-many times I’ve seen them be just enough to kill him as a typical, and not enough to help him as a Non-Typ- But who would care! Not me!

Don, did he “Vanish” after the pic’s on 11/5 ??

gross? your 200” is dam close!

GREAT PIC’S!!!!!!!!!!!

This piece used to be for sale a while ago!  Tim…he completley vanished after the 5th!!!  Nobody has seen him and I haven’t gotten another pic of him either!!??  We haven’t heard of him being shot or any rumors of a giant being taken!  These daylight pics show once again how important it is to sit all day in early November!!

Buck of a lifetime.  I hope you find his sheds.

November 5th was a crazy day in the woods. That’s when I shot my buck and it was hands down one of the best days I’ve had hunting in years. The bucks were on their feet during daylight hours and every call I used worked. Tim - what’s your theory on him disappearing after November 5th? Too much human presence? Or was the day just that good and then he wizened up?

Posted by phelpsy80 on January 04

Phelpsy80 - I totally agree.  Nov 5th was one of the days I sat all day on the same deerstand and it was non-stop action most of the day.  My hunting partner shot a 170”+ 10-pointer that day just a few hundred yards down-river from me that afternoon as well.  It was by far, the best day I had hunting this year and one of the top 3 days I’ve ever had on stand in my 20 yrs of deer-hunting.

Gilly as soon as I saw those trailcam pictures I understood why he got a daylight picture of him. I hunt with three other guys and together we killed 3 nice bucks that morning, each one on a different farm. The fourth guy had a monster heading his way but got spooked. A buck this big doesnt make many mistakes, but November 5th was fatal for many big boys. It was in my top 2 days of all time for sure.

This guy seems pretty proud of his ‘rear end’ hopefully he put it to good use.  All the girls in the neighborhood probably kept him real busy.

Agree, 11/5 was by far the best day i had in the woods this year.  I saw 2 bucks chasing does in the 1st hour and shot the 2nd 8 pt.  This trail cam pic is one of the neatest ones i have ever seen.  He is an absolute beast!!!

My theory is, IF he’s alive, he moved off that ground during rut and went to where he’s been succesfully hiding out for many years now, avoiding humans! He has a refuge somewhere he calls home! Finding his sheds would tell the whole story!

Interesting comments on the 5th- It’s always around the 5th through the 8th when all hell breaks loose!

Bucks are shedding antlers now, and it sure isn’t because of harsh weather!
Have a few with none and a few more with one side! They better duck next wkend when the next war starts!

Tim, as of just a few days ago, every buck I have on trail video camera has both sides, with the exception of two young bucks…but their racka are broken, not shed.  Also, I have 5-6 different fights on video that all happened last week.  Not real big fights, but lots of sparing fights.  With the exception of one 2.5 fighting a 3.5, all fights were between 1.5 y.o. bucks.

that’s interesting—-  I’m hearing the same thing from folks not close to here. Got a call from central IL. last night about adult bucks being shed.

That 2 1/2 must have an attitude to be pushing on a 3 1/2!

I think I’ve seen that buck. Is that the one Lenny is hunting? I hunt right beside him.
