When I first ran across this I thought, “OK, now I’ve seen it all.” But this thing is pretty cool. Not real practical in rough hunting conditions (or low light, or rain, or extreme cold, or 100 other reasons). It’s nothing I’d ever buy or use. But you have to give the inventor an “A” for ingenuity. This thing has it all.

You have to watch the video all the way through. The app does a lot. Different profiles for different bows or applications. Different pin shapes and sizes. Speaking of sight pins, how about 2.6 million available colors? A 3rd axis adjustment. Micro-adjust at 1/326th of an inch. Sight level (the sight ring even changes colors if you cant your bow past a preset angle). You can set it to change to a pendulum at different angles, with a different shape sight pin. Adjustments can be made to the pendulum for different bow speeds.

Like to film your hunt? The app can automatically start to record video upon release of the arrow!

The mount looks solid. It should be, if you’re going to attach a $500 IPhone to it!

Here’s the link to the manufacturer’s website.

Darn, I have a Droid X… Maybe the wife will let me use her iphone…;-)

Man, thats awesome.  I wonder how well the phone would stand up to shock?  Also, it would be cool if they had a range finder built into it.  This reminds me of what the burris eliminator scope has done for the rifle world.  I could see within 5 years that all the major sight companies have something like this.  Its like having a heads up display for your bow.  Sounds like the app was developed from the Russians.

Ok, that is cool.  Another thing that goes against P&Y rules, but it is cool.  I would try it if it came out for droid.  Curious to see how accurate it is.  A range finder with it would be great.

That is waaayyyyy cool.  I’d like to know where to get that phone cover with matching home screen.  Very cool.

Buckbull has a point regarding shock. I’ve trashed out digital cameras mounted to my bow from the shock of shooting arrows. I’m not sure I would want to do that with my iPhone. The concept is really cool though!

Cool gadget. Does anyone know what this will cost? My worries are water ruining my iPhone 4s

Looks like a real neat concept.  Oh one of these days i will graduate from my “free” flip phone.

Just as Steve Jobs would have liked it! Very cool attachment and app. Agree with Treehugger- I want that camera skin.
