Iowa’s furharvester season begins at 8 a.m., Nov. 1 and hunters and trappers can expect to find a significant increase in the raccoon population over last year.

Bowhunter Derek Tipsword shot this 17+ point buck On Oct. 4. Tipsword has been killing nice deer since he shot a big 8-pointer as a 6-year-old. He also shot a big 15-pointer two years ago.
