Big Bucks Corner

Nick Frederking’s 10-pointer

Sat, November 20, 2010

Ferderking buck

Here’s a good story. Nick Frederking shot this 10-point Washington County buck in the Elkhorn bottoms south of Okawville. As the story goes, he milked cows in the morning and did not get to the blind until around 8 a.m. Then he saw the buck coming at him before it bedded down 100 yards away.

So he waited until 11:30 a.m., when the buck finally got up again and walked right to the blind. Frederking then shot the buck, which had 8-inch brown tines and a 23-inch inside spread. Frederking said the clean 10-pointer green-scored at 172 inches.
