Looking at a 20ga 11-87 for the wife this year for deer, Will top it off with a 4power scope…Not being a gun hunter myself whats everyones thought on a gun for a woman….It fits her tight and recoil shouldnt be a problem….Thanks

that should be a good gun for her.  Cut the stock and put some extra padding on.  That is if she needs it.  I would consider a red dot.  Its just as accurate at closer range and a lot easier to use for a novice.

For what it’s worth.  My daughter has a 20ga., but this year she used my 12ga. bolt action and liked it better than hers.  Somehow recoil goes unnoticed when shooting at a deer.

One that she cannot load without you. That way she cannot use it on you when she thinks YOU have been hunting to much. Come on guy’s, whitetailfreak is a fellow hunter that is married. Think a liitle more about the advice given, we do have to stick together!!

White tail: It all depends on how much you want to spend. I bought my 10 yr old son a Mossberg 500 bantam combo 20 ga last year and my 18 yr old daughter uses it also. It has a couple extra recoil pads of different thickness so you can adjust the fit of the gun.the recoil is a little strong when just target shooting but as said in earlier post recoil is not felt with a deer standing in front of you.
