Hey fellow HO’ers.  I just came in from the woods, retrieving my SD card.  I had 360 pictures, and about 330 of them were deer!  Split 50/50 between buck and doe pictures.  I did get alot of different bucks on camera, and they were primarily in groups.  All the bucks I got still had both sides, with the exception of a forky.  None of the “does” had pedicles, so they were truly does smile  Two of the biggest bucks I got, their antlers were very white, so maybe I’ll have a different report and some pictures when I get the card next Friday!  Here’s two of them, one series of pictures had 5 bucks in it!

You had 165 pics of bucks and they all had both sides still?  That is crazy, there must have been some late does come into heat in your neck of the woods.  What a great trail cam pic.  Are you happy with the primos?

Well CCHunter,  my camera is on 5 shot burst, and some of those 5 shot bursts were of the same group of deer just meandering kinda slow smile  These two bucks are the two biggest I have on trail camera since season.  The other bucks on camera are probably 1 1/2 or 2 1/2 yr old 8ptrs and 6ptrs.

About the Primos, Yes I am very pleased.  I had bought one two summers ago, after they’d just come out.  If you’ve done any research on them, I had one of the original “clunkers” and I later found out it wouldn’t take video (no big deal at the time).  I became interested in videos instead of just pictures, and had heard about Primos Customer Service.  So I contacted Primos CS, they gave me a “tracking number” and I shipped it to them.  Within a week I had a brand new updated model Truth Cam 35, no questions asked and no charge on me!  I used it all summer and through all of October with one set of batteries, then I changed them out with some fresh ones for winter (which we’ve barely had a WINTER this year!) and it’s still got 60% battery.  The IR pictures are a bit grainy compared to the Cuddebacks and Reconyx, but then again, the IR clarity on the 35 is only 1.3 MP.

WhitetailFreak, there’s only enough room in these woods for me smile  and sorry to say there’s no gate, except to the fenced cow property about 50 yards past those does! LOL

Also, the front one is the “twin” to the buck I shot this year, but this guy has more mass.  Also, you can’t really tell from this angle, but he has a small kicker on his left base.  The buck I shot had a small kicker just below his brow on his RIGHT side.  Kinda weird/cool, ya know?  Anyways, and the buck on the far left is actually a 10 ptr., but he broke off part of a tine on both sides.  Man I can’t wait for next year!  BUT, my cousin just got a bow for Christmas, so he better not get a shot on these boys smile  Wouldn’t want him to be spoiled on his first deer, let alone with a bow!

Also, did anyone notice the slight double neck patch on the left buck?  It’s more visible in my other pics of just him.
