First EHD the deer will not be ravaged by coyotes I find. I observed 6 does killed by coyotes last year all had rear leg injury’s and where caught in areas that deer traveled low areas with higher surrounding hills (ambush). The ehd ect deer had no parts eaten or any signs of injury. This year one dead buck neck stretched out and by water all parts intact. Illinois coyotes have evolved to become the main predator of deer, large packs of 15 or more animals, how can I know sunset the howling started to my surprise it came from three separate areas and was like a sled dog team from each area. Waiting for deer we watch a mature buck charge towards the closest pack don’t know if he ever came out or not. Fulton county about 11/20/13
