On the way to work this morning I saw 4 deer, 2 does and 2 bucks.  Both bucks still had both sides.  One was a fork horn and the other was a 125” which was closer to the road.  Come On and FALL!!!

Looks like Mushroom and Turkey seasons will be the best time for sheds also

I agree greenhornet!  I’m getting impatient also!  BUT, I’m checking the trail cam again in the morning and depending on what it shows, I’ll have some reason to look for some before the rain hits.  Hopefully those two in the picture I had posted dropped somewhere close smile  On the other hand, Matt, I’m ready for some morels!!!

If it runs, flies, or drives, I’m interested!

I’m going to hit it hard the weekend after next.  I’ve been getting some good reports from buddies in Knox. Fulton and Peoria Counties.  Good luck

Spent about 2 hours in the woods today looking for sheds, didn’t see any deer, nor find any sheds. I had no bucks on trail camera, so i’m not sure if they have shed or just took a different path.  I was hoping to gain permission for about 50 acres adjacent to me, but the landowner hasn’t been out yet, and he wants first dibs.  Completely understandable, but hey that’s all you gotta do is ask.  The worst they can say is no.
