Alright, we finally got the option to post pics using external URL links.  Following are instructions for posting a pic you found on the internet or pics you have hosted on a site like photobucket.

First off, you will notice above you will see some buttons and one of them looks like img.  That is one item you will need to use.

We will start off with a pic you found online that you want to share with the Heartland Outdoors forum.  Different browsers work differently.

If using Internet Explorer, you will need to right click on the picture and view the properties.  Highlight the link and copy it

If using Firefox then right click on pic and click on view image

Now that you have the link to the picture copied, you can now paste it in the thread.  After you paste the picture URL in the thread, you will highlight the URL and then hit the img button.  Refer to next pic

Thats it, when you preview your post or submit your post, the picture will show up just as it did when you viewed it on the other site.

The other option to posting pics is from picture hosting sites like Photobucket and others.
Most of these sites automatically supply you with all the links you will need for posting your pics online.  The pic shown below is from Photobucket but it pertains to most other hosting sites also.

They will also provide you with a code that starts with [img].  You just need to copy that link and paste it in the thread and your done.  You don’t need to use any of the button at the top of the editor.

That should be all you need to start easily posting your pics on the forum.  If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM or post a reply to this thread.

The forum doesn’t recognize the capital IMG in the brackets… It has to be lower case…

Here’s a picture before we put the sheep on the rock.  I think I have the knack for posting now.  Thanks.  I’m looking forward to spending some time here.  It looks like a well laid out site.

I’m too new to ban yet.  I’ll hold off and will only post pictures when it’s appropriate.  LOL

My wife got the idea after visiting Cabela’s.  The rock is made of 4 pieces which can be disassembled and it’s on wheels so it can be moved.  I’ll show you some other pictures when I get time.  We have an African wall and some nice mule deer and antelope in a different part of the house.

Here’s some more.  Most are from Africa except the Asiatic buffalo which came from Australia.  All of these are bow kills.

I’ll show you some nice mule deer and antelope later.

Unfortunately no.  I am semi retired and live part of the year in Vegas and the rest on my farm in Missouri.  I grew up in WVa and Ohio and slowly migrated west because I liked to hunt in the mountains and plains.

Wish I had some relatives in Illinois so I can come there to hunt.  The state has really developed a name for itsself as the big buck state.
