The News Outside

After the mushrooms and turkey season, Whats everyone do outdoors?Ill either be on some water fishing, Scouting for bowseason,Walking creeks with my son looking for arrowheads,And hopefully doing some camping…

Fishing a bit I suppose.  I like going for cats off the bank in the evening after work.  Tending the garden.  Camping a bit.  Mostly, getting projects done so I don’t have to do them in the fall when hunting season roles around.  I have also resolved to go to the range more this summer.

Brew some beer in the basement. Drink. Repeat.

lol. no, just in much greater volume and frequency this time of year. WTF - got one with your name on it.

For me it will be river, river, river… It is just a small little river, but it is still me… Catch some catfish, drink some beer, sleep repeat!!!

Same for me 247.  Its a whole lot of river.  But for me its a little bigger river, muddy mississipp same sequence of activities you mentioned above with a couple of water sports that i am always on the edge of a hospital trip as a result of.  It really sucks how far away the fall is, but very cool we have an entire summer of river coming up!

No water sports where I am at.. I can throw a stone across where we run… Still good fishing and fun in a boat or canoe…

Did just get a call to shoot a 2 day bow fishing shoot next weekend and one in June… Would love to shoot them both, but I am gonna be out of town next weekend…

I spend most of the summer fishing and shooting Asian carp.

Riding more of what I seem to feed a lot and clean up after even more.  Horse, horses, horses…and baling hay of course.

dam, whitetailfreak, your doin pretty dam good doing all that hunting at age 107 according to your Bio staistic B-date!  You’re Awesome buddy!  HeeHee!  TW

I’d love to find the time to start bow fishing, but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards for now.

Fishing Otter Lake a lot and some at Lake Jacksonville, Springfield and Sanghrias. Luck of the draw I am Perch & Coho fishing right in the middle of my turkey season in Waukegan on the 28th & 29th of this month. Going to Sturgeon Bay in June Smallmouth fishing and maybe some Walleye. Plus have small farm ponds to hit during the week and set out turtle lines. Gardening, have a pretty good sized one at least 45’ by 110’ so that keeps me busy. Pick a lot of fruit for winemaking, I pick it then freeze it so I have something to do on winter nights, unlike a guy that just makes beer in the summer, lol, like I beleive that. Probably back to Waukegan in September for Salmon, time to cut wood for the winter then also. Have to get the walk in cooler set up that we bought and my wife wants me to pull up the carpet in our bedroom and the extra bedroom to put Pergo wood flooring down (she’s doing the painting). After all this will I be glad to bet back in the stand on October!

Forgot to get a little Squirrel hunting in before October also. Love to fry up some tree rat after a good moring of hunting.
