What a great season for you!!  I am hoping to fill my 2nd tag next weekend.  I went to try calling one in for my dad today, but the birds were very non-responsive.  What a difference a week can make!! He is going to keep trying for the rest of 3rd season, but I have to work tomorrow and every day until next Saturday, hope he scores!

I did not hear a turkey gobble my whole season, did not even see a bird hunting, not even a hen. Three weeks ago was still seeing 25-30 birds in these locations. Only seen 5 hens out in fields the whole week (while driving). The main place I hunted would see 50-75 birds all winter. Where in the world they went I have no idea, couldn’t even find where they were roosting. Oh well thats why they call it hunting, CONGRATS to the guys that got their birds!

Hooked up with another nice gobbler this morning.  While much smaller than outrageous 29 pounder I managed to bag 2 weeks ago, this was a nice gobbler at 23.5 lbs, 10in beard, and the biggest set of spurs ive seen at over 1.5 inches.  It was a real fun hunt and this bird was real spooky.  He busted me checking the radar on my phone, luckily I looked up to see his white head walking away.
