These are not sunrise and sunset tables.  I took them from the Illinois Hunting and Trapping Guide’s and changed them to actual deer shooting times.(1/2 hour before sunrise until 1/2 hour after sunset).  They are for the eastern zone of Illinois.  Add 4 minutes for the central and 10 minutes for the western zone.  Check the guide to see which zone you are hunting.  You would think the DNR would include these tables.

They do include them in every digest they have produced as long as I can remember, Its always the last few pages.  I used to use them but now all the weather apps give you an accurate one so really no need for them.

You need to look again.  This table is actual deer hunting hours, not sun up and sun down times.

Some species are hunted sunrise to sunset; some 1/2 hour before sunrise to sunset; some 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset; and still others sunrise to some specific hour of the day.  Your proposal would mean separate pages of tables for each “group” by hunting hours.  Sunrise/sunset times being listed, and the variation in same by zone within Illinois allows anybody to figure what “their” species of interest hunting time will be for any given day, anywhere in the state.  Pretty simple.  Tom
