i accidentally caught this saturday afternoon (febr 23) at starved rock, and noticed it while making a video tour of the starved rock state park to share with my out of state friends. i’m guessing it’s a small cedar tree, but it IS interesting.

i wish i was so sure CC. i still think it’s a small tree but my husband and all my friends are in awe. i’m a long time friend of john winterbauer from springfield who investigated the chatham bigfoot a few years ago, and he had me send it to an expert friend of his. i also submitted it to coast to coast with george noory, but those idiots will post anything, so i’m not sure that was a good idea. LOL

this is the bigfoot expert that i sent it to. we have exchanged several emails already, and he says that it is “interesting”, and he isnt sure. he suggests that we go back up there and try to photograph the same spot.

Haha that’s a good idea to head back up there to photograph the same spot. I’m sure the stump will be there.

t hrms, not sure if you comment about not posting any more was directed to me being rude or something, i am sorry, my comments probably came across as being a smart ass.  I was just being goofy as the sasquatch subject is quite hilarious to me.  I really enjoy your posts and pictures, etc.  Sorry if i pissed you off.

Pretty cool, I dig the Bigfoot stuff, have been hooked ever since the 70’s.  Thanks for sharing and I hope that “cedar tree” is missing should you return to check the area.  It would give me a boost for those times when a forty something practical mentality clouds the wonder of that ten year old kid watching the Patterson-Gimlin film on the big screen and feeling the hair on the back of the neck stand up.
