How did everyone’s youth season turn out? Between the moon and the temps, it was a tough one in Calhoun. My buddy and I took his two kids, his son killed a big doe 5 minutes after shooting time but his daughter never fired a shot.

Took both of my kids. We hunted together until Sunday afternoon where I hunted with my youngest since it was his first year and my wife with the oldest. At 5:30 my youngest got his first deer ever. A 225 pound 10 point scoring in the 140s. The older son is a little frustrated with this since he has been hunting for three years and has not shot anything like this but that is hunting.
I submitted the pic and story so I am sure it will be up on this site soon.

I have not seen it posted so I figured I would throw it up on here.

This is a little late but that is an “Awesome Deer” for his first. Tell him good job for me!
