IDNR’s “First Deer Certificate.”

Whether the hunter is participating in Illinois’ October 8-9, 2011 Youth Firearm Deer Season or someone - of any age - who harvests their first deer during Illinois’ archery or firearm seasons, they’ve earned bragging rights. Recognize their accomplishment by presenting them with a copy of the Department of Natural Resources’ new “First Deer Certificate.” The colorful certificate can be accessed for printing using a fillable PDF at http://www.dnr.illinois.gov/hunting/Documents/FirstDeerCertificate.pdf

======================================

This is a new easy to print off certificate that can be customized and printed off of the IDNR’s web site. I had seen this on other states web sites and am very glad to see our IDNR following suite !

A simple certificate like this can mean a lot to a young deerhunter !!!

Also don’t forget that Sat & Sun, Oct 8 & 9 are the IL youth firearm season, so make sure you wear your blaze orange if you are out in the woods this weekend

Well it is not illegal to shoot bambi’s mom or bambi for that matter as long as they have no spots on them in IL. Archery season runs from Oct. 1 to Jan. 18 and then there is firearm seasons dates in there too. If you want to know whats legal or not you need to get a hunting rules and regs book from the IDNR, you can get one anywhere you can buy a hunting lic.
