I hunt just down the road, this has been a problem for years and years, they have their work cut out for them!  Are they from around here? Haven’t had the chance to meet them yet.

Apparently, the entire town of Fairview has thought of the old BFI ground as “public ground”.  BFI was a waste management company that didn’t enforce there boundaries. BFI sold the ground, and did not turn it into a landfill. Thank god, cause it’s beautiful. They do have there work cut out for them, but they say word has spread since shroom season. I agree 120%, in what they are doing, and that’s strictly enforcing the line. They call the warden immediately and press charges to the fullest extent. There buckeye camera setup, has helped them as well, so they say.

They are good guys, and if anyone wants there contact info, I can get it for them…

We called on trespassers last year and they only get a warning for first offense.  It’s pretty much a joke.  In most cases, arresting them only means they received a notice to appear.

I caught a guy in my deer stand. Ran him off. Went back later he had came back(the same night) shot a really nice 8. I called the GW “too busy”. GW eventually went to his house. Poacher admitted everything. He was issued a $120 ticket and got to keep the deer. Oh the IDNR region 3 office is as the crow flies less than 2 miles away.

Andy, I found a truck on my property many years ago.  It was parked on one of my old roads through the timber.  I blocked the truck with mine, called the cops and went on a search for the owner.  I found him.  Trespasser with his son stealing my mushrooms.  When the cop came, not only did he not issue a ticket for trespassing, he told me (in front of the trespasser) to never block anyone in ever again or I’d be in trouble for something along the lines of imprisonment.  The law seems to rarely be on the right side in these matters.  I can’t remember a time that I was more pissed off.

I saw a four wheeler go on my property. Went over to the gate closed it but did not lock it. Called the Dewitt county sheriff. Waited for the guy at the gate. Deputy threatened to arrest me for unlawful restraint, and coached the guy, after repeatedly asking the guy if I had restrained him. He got nothing.

Another time Ameren IP torn down a locked gate to get access to transmission lines that they do not have easement to through me. I came home saw my gate had been destroyed call the Dewitt county sheriff once again nothing done, except to threaten me the landowner and treat me like a dog.

To Rossman, AKA Mr. Rossiter, AKA the new landowner who of this property who is trying to keep people off his ground.

This is a piss poor way to deter people from entering your property. You get on here and call out the whole town of Fairview like a coward and say they think they had full access to your property before you owned in . Your an idiot. The folks you have befriended, one of the guys who farms it and your buddy right across the road that you share a gate with is the ones you better watch out for.
You don’t have any security cameras and you put signs up that say Tresspassers will be violated. Really. Get a life dude. The hunting and fishing in there are not that good any way. Aaron Milliiken and Whitetail propertiesl broke one off in you get over yourself and quit blaming the whole town of Fairview.

I sure do appreciate the formal name. “Mr. Rossiter”? Thanks for that.  If you consider 52 Buckeye cameras as, “not having any security cameras”. Then O.K., that’s great, good for you “Slayer”.  Sounds like a 1970’s rock band…

I am one of the landowners, so I do apologize for stating differently. We have worked hard to purchase this ground, and have had multiple people arrested. And all other things stated were not a lie. Just want to put the word out, so people will know, we do prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, that’s all. We’d rather not have to call Brad and keep having him come out to write up tickets, but we will.

To anyone whom is a landowner in Fulton county, B.T. is the game warder we call. And he does not take any crap, especially from trespassers. He gets there quick and takes care of business.

Slater, Slayer, Big Killer? What’s your point? I have no beef with you or anyone else, unless they trespass. If you really want to be a “big man”, and call people out, then I’m sure you can call or meet me so we can discuss this in person.  You can call me anytime you wish at 720-375-6466, and we can talk about your feelings.

Again, sorry all for mis-leading who I am, but the rest of what I have said, about the arrests is true and some of the other things, I was told by the other locals, which I have met and seem to be some good people.

P.S.: Slayer, I would never attempt to violate a person with that name, sounds too scary for me… And how would you know how the hunting/fishing is if you haven’t trespassed yourself? Just saying..

Oh, and I thought the signs that read, “trespassers will be violated” was kinda funny. Sorry, it didn’t meet your approval…. Maybe it brings back some bad memories….

Mr. Rossiter,

I am glad that you have came to Heartland Outdoors a public forum and admitted that you lied on your previous posts. Yes I have hunted and Fished that property legally . Is it any good and did you have to spend that much money on buckeye cameras to keep people out. Did you have to say the whole town of Fairview thought it was public property. Did you have to make fun of someones goofy user name. Did you have to Call me out and want to meet and take care of this. Seeing your from Colorado where Pot is legal, must be the reason you have so much security on you property don’t know for sure but there must be some reason . For everyone else that reads this please look up how much it costs for that many buckeye cameras. Mr. Rossiter I hope we don’t meet face to face since I live so far away but don’t get on here and lie, call someone out , make fun of them after you started the post. After all its deer hunting and fishing which is supposed to be enjoyed not ruined by people like you.

P.S. Brad Johnson seems to be a pretty good guy. Why would you put his name on your posts like that. just sayin!.

Slayer, just lettng other people know that Brad does his job, and he would be a good contact for calling in trespassers. Nothing wrong with that.

As for the rest of it, the pot comments, etc.? I don’t even know how to respond. Have a wonderful season. didn’t have any intention to fight you, just wanted to give you the chance to discuss any of your issues in person, or even on the tele. Seeing how you are so upset….

Have a good one dude…
