Ever wonder what goes on when you are not on your stand?  This is from last fall.  I erased all the racoon clips and almost all the doe and little buck clips.  Click the bottom link and if it doesn’t work copy and paste the top one in your browser.

That’s great!  We need to all post some more stuff like this.  My two trail cams have only been out about 10 days.  If I get anything worth posting, I will put it up.  Another hunter on the farm I hunt did get a very nice picture of a bobcat.  Its about the 5th picture we have gotten in the past 2 years.  Pretty cool.

CC.  Curious what county you got the bobcat pics in?  I hunt Knox county and know of someone that accidentally trapped one last year…  Cat was released.

The counties myself and another hunting buddy have got a few cat pictures of are Carroll County and Whiteside County.  This is the one of the bobcats that we got on trail cam this spring.  The trail cam sightings have definitely increase over the past 5 years.  I also have had multiple friends see them while on stand, also had a buddy get one in the trap.  He did the right thing, calling the DNR, the results of which are so embarrassing for our DNR, that I will not post, but sent you, treehugger, a PM with details.

CCHunter,
Let me guess, they came to help release it and choked it out and it died?

You have the right idea Morgan, although the cat was not choked out, it was shot, decapitated and sent in for testing.  All because the DNR officers were severely incompetent and under prepared.

Well that seems even worse than what I thought, but does not surprise me at all.  Happy to see that next year we will be able to trap/ hunt them.  I would think a big Tom could kill a lot of fawns
