OK guys a friend of mine deer hunts in Wisconsin and said this wolf was shot approximately 7 miles from where he hunts.  He is usually a very reliable guy and hopefully I am not posting something that is false…  This is one big wolf…

That’s one big animal!!  There’s probably more around I’m sure.  They’re pack animals.

I see the photo is labeled Endeavor, Wisconsin.  Is that where it was taken?  That’s not very far north—less than 2 hours north of the Illinois border and about an hour north of Madison.

Here’ another Wisconsin Wolf taken this year:

I have gotten several reports of a good wolf hunt in WI this year.  They issued something just over a hundred wolf permits.  But I think it was all northern WI.

I just had a picture of this wolf texted to me, and as I enlarged the picture…..it sure looks like there is a trap on the left front foot of that wolf. Does Wisconsin have a trapping season for wolf?

Hmm,  Upon further lookage, I would have to somewhat agree.  Looks like the front right tho.  The one hanging down. (from the weight of the trap?)

Just looked at it again. Its the front left foot. The right one is the one sticking up in the air because he hugging it right under the shoulder. But none the less, the picture also shows the chain on the trap.

Shot…..trapped…..Wisconsin…..Alaska…..long and short of it is that is one big animal! Could you imagine a pack of those chasing you?

Better not do that in IL, cant shoot a wolf in IL now, that is unless it’s trying to have you over for dinner so to speak. In IL now you got to know the dif BTWN a wolf and a yote or you’ll end up in trouble.
