Lets keep track of everyone hunts.  We would like to see how the hunts are going for everyone and how the herds are doing.

If you can, check in every time you go out and let us know how your hunt went even if you never even saw a squirrel.

Date of Hunt
How many.
When they were moving.
County or region you hunted (optional)
And of course the trophy pics of what you shot.

Were you hunting public ground Bassfishn, where some other hunter put an arrow in there that same day?

I am about a half mile from public land.  We drove around to all of the neighbors and made some phone calls to see if anyone was hunting but we couldn’t find anyone.  She wasn’t hurting real bad and wasn’t running so it could have happened in the morning.  I got a nice Bloodsport arrow with a Lumanok and a Rage out of the deal.  I just hate seeing an arrow hanging out of a deer and can only imagine if some anti would have seen that!!  She would have died from infection eventually with the huge rage entry hole in the top of her back.

Went out on the evening of 6 October about an hour and half before sunset (1700).  Saw my first two does at 1745 and they both got within 75 yards and smelled me right off and ran the opposite direction.  The wind was bad here in Madison County. About 1815 I saw 7 doe/fawns out in the open field grabbing some dinner.  At 1830 I had a nice 3 year old doe walk 30 yards from my stand and my Easton arrow matched with a Rage Hypodermic did the job. She ran maybe 50 yards.  Couldn’t find the arrow last night, so I have to go look for it this morning.

Evening of 6 October

10 Doe/Fawns (No bucks)

Madison County

All movement came within 45 min from posted sunset hours

As a note, ever since the cold front came in, I’ve seen a lot more movement on the cameras.  When checking in at the meat locker last night, they had 7 from that evening alone.  All doe, and one nice 8 pointer.

10/5/13-  Knox County.  4:00-7:00 pm.  Saw a bachelor group of three at 6:00.  There was a basket rack, 130 8-point and a 10 point that I am targeting this season.  Never got closer than 60 yards.  Eating in my clover plot.

10-6-13-  Knox County.  10 miles away from the property I hunted the night before.  Saw 0 deer but killed a coyote from the ground.  The coyote was within 15 feet and had no idea I was there.
