Anyone getting ready to brave the knats and put the trail cams out to monitor rack growth and the 2013 deer herd?  I used to leave my trail cams out year long, but have been a little lazy in that regards this year.  I think I am going to wait until about July 4th to put mine out this year (unless some postings on here get me motivated earlier?)

I put myn up two weeks ago. I will wait till July to check them. I love having photos of when fawns are showing up each year, twins, triples, and singles to keep track of. I also like to have them up to see how the bucks are doing. I have seen a number of them already starting on 3s, you can never have enough cameras or get them out too early in my mind!

Setup a couple deer stands and trimmed the rest monday.  Got plenty of bites on the elbows and hands to show for it.  I usually put cameras out in August while squirrel hunting.

I’ve seen several bucks out while driving that have already split their main beam to form their G-2.  So i’ll probably put mine up in a couple days, check em mid-July or just wait until Aug 1.

If it runs, flies, or drives, I’m interested!

Thanks for the post of pics knox, that might be the motivation i need to get my butt out there and get my cams set up.  I am in the same boat as crappie, went out to trim a few limbs at two stand sites last week and I had the battle wounds (bites) to show for it.  The swarms of bugs was unbelievable, worst i have seen.  Yea Freak, we are part of the healthy addiction to the whitetail (and ducks, geese, turkeys, and any fish dumb enough to be caught by me).
