Pumping/Flooding Status Illinois River Public Waterfowl Areas

Anyone know the staus of the flooding/pumping of any of the Illinois River Public Hunting areas….Will the Rice Lake Walk in areas be huntable on opening day…how about the Duck Ranch….or Big Lake ......is their any water being pumped into the refuges along the river??? We havent been getting any reports on this matter and season is right around the corner….

I went scouting this last week and Banner was doing a little pumping. Rice lake walk in looked dry but I could be wrong. There was a DNR truck hangin out so they could have been doing some work. Duck Ranch is very low, the big pond is the only water I saw. Spring Lake bottoms has some water but not nearly enough.

Not lookin good…hopefully this rain will keep water in the pump ditches….
