Butter, Ive tried several and the recoil is all the same. Im thinking about a muzzleloader for my son..Ive talked with alot of people and they all say theres a HUGE difference in recoil, but you only have 1 shot!!!He is shootin a mossberg batam thats ported and the recoil is still a butt kicker…..

I haven’t had much luck with low recoil slugs. Best offset is a heavy barrel. My wife shoots an H&R Ultra Slug 20 ga and loves it. I actually prefer it to my muzzle loader, still only one shot but much faster reload and just as accurate!

Your right WF, there is a lot less recoil on a muzzleloader, and VERY accurate.

He’ll never feel the recoil when a deer is in his scope.  No matter how much recoil there is.
