Gonna be heading down to Giant City over Memorial Day weekend. What’s the bite like at the surrounding lakes (Cedar, Little Grassy, Devils Kitchen, etc…)?  I haven’t fished these lakes in over 8 years. I usually start out going for largemouth, but I’m willing to change things up or go for entirely different species if the bite is on. What’s the action like down there right now?

i would be willing to bet the blue gill would be biting pretty good. they are on their beds now. cat fish should be biting well also. really this time of year a lot is biting, id just wet a line and surely something will bite.

Yeah, I have a feeling bluegill will be biting all across the state. They’re my fall back fish species in case the bass, crappie, or cats aren’t biting. I haven’t seen these lakes in over 8 years so I have no idea what to expect really. Pressure will likely be high with the holliday weekend.
