Seems like things are way ahead of schedule. The neighbors Magnolia already bloomed and lost all it’s flowers. Here are some wild blooms I have caught in the last few days. My latest blog post is about wildflowers.

Spring Beauty has been blooming just about everywhere.

Red Buds are in full bloom.

The Violets are also going strong.

I found this Slender Corydalis growing in a creek bottom next to a bluff. From what I have read it is kind of rare for around here.

The next few weeks should be great for spring flowers.

Thanks T. Here are a couple more shots of flowers on the Red Bud in my front yard after the rain today.

I found a Wild Black Cherry(I think) blooming today while mushroom hunting. I really like the look of the long Filaments and bright yellow Anthers.

I watched this fly for a while going from cherry blossom to cherry blossom. They apparently feed on pollen like bees.
