I think the “Southwest Outdoorsman”, who has (or used to have) a blog on here had luck paddlefishing.  You could drop him a line for some advice.

What are you going to do with it??... Are they even legal to snag?.. Thought they were on the catch and release list?...

I had a friend who tried it below LOZ in the river.  He said that there were boats everywhere and people lined the shore by the deep holes.  He said that they are good to eat.

Snaggin spoonbills is one of my favorite seasons of the year. i do most of mine on the Mississippi. make sure and check the current regs as theyre are size limits, hook size restrictions etc…  the laws have changed alot over the last 5 years.  Spoonies are one of my favorite fish to eat as well, real firm meat like a swordfish. .
i havent blogged on here for a while and wont this summer unless the pay gets better (free) been fishing hard around here everything is biting good from the bass and cats to sauger. got a new boat so ive been out on the water about every free minute. if you ever got any questions feel free to email or pm me. Josh, have you been out to Carlyle lately?  I imagine with the river level finally coming up that the sauger will start to turn on.  I need to get a day to go try it out.

the bite on the River was slow on wed before the water came up. with the water comin up over the rocks the last couple days it should be good this weekend or early next week. Had a buddys boat catch 4 keeps wed with biggest just over 2lbs, ill be tryin to get out there next week they should be on fire by then. its raining here right now and we could use it for both morels and sauger.
