Has everyone seen this new rifle the T/C came out with.  They have been pumping it hard everywhere.  Its a new bolt action with interchangeable barrels/calibers.  The user can change the caliber from .204 Ruger to .300 Win Mag in less than five minutes.  You will have a barrel, bolt and mag for every caliber to change out.  A base gun is said to cost $650 and additional calibers around $250.  They say MOA right out of the box.  I am big fan of T/C contender/encore interchangeability, but a bolt action?  I am sure its worth it if you need a few different calibers (which we all do) and don’t want a separate gun for each.  But for me, I prefer having a separate gun with its own scope for each caliber.

What do you think?

I see some definite plus’es.  Since you should be able to buy barrels and bolts without going through FFL for one thing.  Maybe good for people just starting in the shooting sport and can save some bucks when switching calibers. Accuracy/quality/reliability will need to be established before the general public accepts this idea.  I hope it works out for T/C-S&W.
