The Illinois Outdoors news reported that a “celebrity” hunter was charged with falsifying residency in order to get deer permits here in Illinois.  Multiple charges are pending.  The poachers name was not released and I was wondering if anybody has any details on this case.  It will be just one more show that I will not watch.

I find it funny, Youd think they would just pay the non-resident fee but THEY ARE FAMOUS!!!!!I hope they hammer them:)

Yea joe, the fine might be cheaper than the permit, which is a bunch of crap, and not a bad deal for the dumb non-res taking that chance.  The only problem for that non-res with no permit is if they harvest an animal.  At that time the trouble starts, deer is taken along with the possible of confiscating the truck, ATV, gun, etc.

several years ago i heard that Jimmy Houston had been busted after the fact. a cpo had seen him on tv bag a buck with some outfitter in the goldrn triangle. come to find out he had not been issued a tag. not sure if this is true. you would think an outfitter would make sure all hunts were legal.
