Throwing around the idea of letting some of our H.O readers kids on a youth hunt for 2012-2013, Curious if anyone would be interested in helping the kids?Prob should run by jeff first but wanted too see if anyone would be interested first…Im thinking ages 7-15???what ya guys and gals think??????

I think it would be fun for the kids and myself too get them on some deer.  Only thing i worry about is liability issues…...

For the last two years I have taken Kole out on youth deer hunts.  Last year for unspoken reasons he missed a nice buck (my fault), this year did not see a deer.  Now just bought late season tags for Saline Co going to try and see if he can bag one at my brothers place.  Thats one place we are seeing deer,  not at the neighbor’s farm in Mason County.  Neighbor’s kids are even bored of deer hunting because they are not seeing deer.

Interesting idea. Let me get the January issue done tonight and think more about this next week. FYI, numerous folks are interested in having HO-related events to tap into what is obviously a growing constituency. Next up is a Feb. 11 ice fishing tournament at Evergreen Lake. More to come on that.
