Yes Matt,
It wasn’t to long ago a good friend of mine went through a bunch of unneccesary legal crap to get his 200” back. All because of jealous morons. Even a jealous cpo was involved.
Take two or three good reliable people and have one video record the shot sight and the whole recovery. It will be worth it.

yes, great idea archernut!  most people would probably just have a CPO come check the validity of the deer, method of kill, tagging, etc.  But to have that same CPO assist you in the recovery would really put a damper on what skeptics would throw at you.

Not that I will ever be in this position, but what do you do at the processor?  Do hunters that harvest huge deer like this even take the animal to the processor?  I would think you wouldn’t want to leave it.  May seem like a newbie question but would you cape the animal, take that part to the taxidermist and then take the remainder to the processor?  Sorry if it’s a dumb question, but I thought I would ask…not that I will ever need the information!!!!
