Just recently I started using Carbon Synergy.  All I can say is THIS STUFF REALLY WORKS!  In the last two weeks, I have had two real good bucks, one being a buck of a lifetime, directly downwind of me.  I wasn’t able o harvest either buck, never even got a shot off, but they never winded me.  One of them even saw me in the tree.  I also wear a Dream Season Scent Blocker suit and silver mask, but I am convinced that CS works.  It’s a mess, but it’s well worth it.  I ordered one bottle on line to try it out and the company sent me 6.  These guys sure know how to please a customer…a rare thing these days.  I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a good buck come in downwind and not wind you at all.

Haven’t heard a bad thing about that stuff yet.  Don’t they send you extra bottles so you can give some away???????

I just ordered a bottle a few weeks ago (I was hoping they would confuse me for Treehugger and I would get 6 bottles also but it didn’t work, only the got the one). The shipping was super quick. So far I am also pretty satisfied with it.

I assume that’s why they sent me six bottles.  I already gave some away, but the rest I’m keeping to do my light camo next year and my kids’ stuff.

Yeah, mine arrived stupid-fast.  Like two days after the order.

I dusted my stuff with it.  I was going to dip it but didn’t have time to get everything dry in time.  Plus, by dusting it, I was able to keep the carbon off the back of my pants and coat so I don’t get everything all over my truck seats.  I’m sure it would work better by doing the entire pants and coat, but it’s not practical for me.  i usually change into and out of my hunting clothes at the farm, but once it gets cold, I’m not changing outside.  I just use CS as an add-on to my my Scent Blocker clothes.  I’ve had real good luck with my Dream Season suit, but adding CS honestly made it even better.  One of te bucks I mentioned above was only 6-7 yards directly downwind of me…and that particulat stand is only about 11 feet off the ground.  First saw the deer at 75 yards downwind of me.  He walked the entire way with my scent in his nose.

Messy? Yes.  Does it work?  Absolutely.  Haven’t been busted by a deer yet, and I’ve had about a dozen or so downwind of me within 30 yds this season. I ordered one bottle about a month ago. It arrived in 3 days (no extras for me). They really want you to get creative with it, as I had to really think about the best way to apply it.  They advertise the “soaking method”, but I didn’t have time for that.  So I use mine 2 ways. I made a solution in an old scent killer spray bottle. I also have some dry in a small tupperware container. The spray bottles clog with the CS solution so I use the solution to dampen a paper towel or a clean shop rag and rub it on my exterior garments (coveralls, boots, etc). Someone else on here gave a great recommendation to pour some of it in an old nylon panty hose (sorry wife), and use it similar to a rosen bag. That works great to cover my face, hair, and neck.  And it goes a long ways….I’ve used one bottle of CS for about a month now and I still have some powder left over.  I look like I just crawled out of a coal mine when I’m done but that stuff works!

I have been using it in a spray bottle. So far I have not got it clogged but I make sure I shake the bottle frequently while putting it on. Also would not recommend spraying around anything you want to keep clean. Will leave a charcoal colored haze but cleans off easily (I have a white truck).

I like the idea of the spray bottle.  I think I’ll try that here in a little bit…gonna hit the woods this afternoon.  As was already stated, it is messy, but does clean up easily.  My only problem regarding clean-up is due to my truck and not CS.  I drive a King Ranch that has saddle leather seats that can’t be cleaned so I try to keep everything off them.  Do you guys just mix it with water, or with the normal scent free solution already in the bottle?

Also good luck to you this afternoon. Will be curious to hear what you see. I was out Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning (sick all weekend) and didn’t see a thing. Hoping to make it back out this week again sometime.

Thanksgiving afternoon I had a great hunt.  Saw two bucks…one of which was 150ish 8 point.  Huge body on this thing.  Came in directly downwind of me the entire time and then walked over to work a scrape.  I made a sound to stop him….and….well…it didn’t work.  Sent him running.  That’s never happened to me.  Not even once.  They always stop.

John glad you brought this up… I have too been ultra impressed with this stuff. I ordered 6 bottles (wasn’t really sure how much I’d need for a full season) and they sent me 9 with instructions to share with friends. Class outfit. They also sent me a note thanking me when I pointed out their pay system wasn’t working and paypal was only way to accept payment. Again- impressive. But all that doesn’t mean much unless the product works. I’m here to confirm as well that it works and works very well. I’ve soaked my clothes twice this season (once a month or so) and have had more deer come in from the “wrong direction” than ever. Even had a nice buck at 8yds downwind and he never knew I was there.

As far as spray bottles go- since I soaked my clothes I just used the excess in the 5 gallon bucket to fill spray bottles I got at Dollar General. Works great and once I soaked and when I use spray bottle, I really dont have any mess at all once dry. I imagine dusting would be messy but still work great. How exactly to you “dust” yourself? Pantyhose filled with it and pat your clothes down? Just curious.

That’s exactly how I do it, MallardMike….sorta like a rosen bag. Messy, but works great. Plus, it’s easy to tell that your face is covered when it turns black!  It is easy to clean though.  I will try to find a different spray bottle and see if that helps.
