Has anyone went anywhere to do a hog hunt? I think it would be a fun summer activity. So we would probably need to book it somewhat soon. We are looking to do something fairly inexpensive. If anyone has a place they liked or know of a place, please pass on some information. Thanks

There are a number of places (outfitters) that offer very affordable and fun hog hunts on Ebay. Texas, Alabama, and Georgia are going to be your best bet for bigger and more hogs. There is some hog hunting in MO, KY, and southern OH.

I have my eyes on one that is a little east of Austin, Tx, it is 3 days all the hogs you want for $500.00. Lodging not included. Take a look and compare for yourself. Many of them have websites they will lead you to as well.

I am thinking of doing the same thing for coyotes too.

Just got back from hog/gator hunt in Florida. Hunted hogs with hounds out of air boats. The hunt was great but the experience was even better. Air boat ride was entertaining. Roman was safe and knowledgeable. Price is working class. The weather is always good. Snakes aren’t bad over winter. As for success rate, it’s almost 100℅. I was lucky enough to take 2 hogs on a half day hunt. Races are physically challenging but rewarding.

Thanks for the info. I keep finding ranches that are fairly inexpensive but you have to pay for them to clean the pigs and what not and that would make the trip really expensive. I am also nervous about getting a hunt from ebay. You don’t know them and how do you know it is a real or a good place?

I hunt out of state frequently. Ask for references. Word of mouth referrals are a great thing as well. Been to Maine, Michigan, Florida, Kentucky, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Colorado and several provinces hunting. Only had 2 bad trips, never asked for references for either of the bad ones. My mistake. Expensive lessons to learn. Remember the most expensive hunts aren’t always better. I’ve had some of my best, most memorable hunt on tight budgets.

Alot of the outfitters use ebay as another avenue to attract clients. They will even give you their website and references like the one below.  They are not just some guy letting you hunt pigs on his 40 acres. (Which could also be very good by the way!)

Here are a few examples:
