Now that the mandatory 60-day drying period has come and gone, the Cockburn Buck has been officially scored.
Netting a whopping 247 2/8, this buck will likely rank as the fourth largest bowkill in Illinois. The buck sports a typical frame that gross scores 190 4/8 and nets 176 4/8. The 18 abnormal points total 70 6/8 inches.

That’s one heck of a nice deer, even for Illinos. I’ve deer hunted in Illinois since 1970 and can’t say I’ve ever seen a wild buck that big. Taking it with a bow just makes it that more rewarding. Well done Travis, and congratulations!
